A Barn Owl is wrapped in a light slate-blue towel, head rotated to the side like a model. The rehabilitator wears a khaki uniform, and holds the bundle of towel with their bare fingers. The owl has mostly white feathers except for a heart-shaped band around his facial disc that appears charred on the edges (no fire, it only looks that way), as well as a coat of dark ashy patterning at the top of his head which fades to a collar of speckles around his neck.

Wildlife Warriors was established in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin. Here’s what they had to say about this Barn Owl:

“We love Sundae the barn owl! 🌸 He was found on the ground after being attacked by birds, and was admitted to our #AustraliaZoo Wildlife Hospital. πŸ¦‰He suffered from soft tissue trauma in his eyes, and received specialised treatment and care by our expert vet team. Upon fully recovering, Sundae was released back for a second chance at life in the wild. How adorable is he?! 😍”
