Barred Owl in the interior of a vehicle, wrapped in a slate blue towel. His head is tilted slightly to the left, and his deep black-brown eyes appear (whether objectively true or not) trusting of the photographer. His feathers are duotone: brown and a slightly different shade of brown. He's got an apple-shaped facial disc, and long whiskers surrounding a yellow beak the colour of hard cheese.

A car-hit Barred Owl was admitted to Acadiana Wildlife, and soon had an owl buddy to recover with. According to Acadiana “they are both about to get a baby to foster until they are ready to release.”
