A Eurasian Scops Owl was found being pecked at by crows in a park in North Macedonia. The image+video shows the process and result of it being wrapped in a brilliant yellow towel, before later being released. In the final photo, its eyes are green and crescent-shaped from squinting, with pupils barely visible above the lower lids. One might even suggest the owl looks happy. Realistically—and almost certainly—it is not.

I spent 13 hours with Buvritse, after rescuing him from the beaks of crows in the morning in Žena Park. After finding a safe space to recover from the trauma and some food, in the evening he regained his strength and flew back to his natural habitat 😌 🦉
With great help from @vjagev I got acquainted with the world of owls and was once again reminded how extraordinary every living creature is in its own way.
