A Barred Owl is wrapped in a pristine white fabric. The rehabber wears thick mustard yellow gloves that extend to the elbows, with flowers printed on the forearm. One hand holds the owl's legs, the other pulls the top of the wrap back like a wedding veil, to reveal the beautiful bride inside. Do you take this owl? I hoo.

Original text:

This Barred owl was found by a kind member of the public on the ground in their backyard. After carefully picking up this beautiful creature, they were able to get him up to us where we’ve been working tirelessly to provide the best care possible. After some medication and a stomach full of food, his fire has started coming back. His release is on the horizon!

Barred owls are known for their distinctive call often described as “Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you all?”. As we rapidly approach the colder months, listen closely for your local Barred owl looking for a mate and nesting place.
