Renesting a Great Horned Owlet was a success! The nest and baby were blown down in the wind storm. The finder called Wildside and Angel and Eleanor went to the rescue! The mom and baby were on the ground together, so we had a good idea that renesting would work!

We first needed a nest, then Jonah as the climber, went into action.

Panel two: The makeshift nest is secured to a tree with yellow and blue bungee cords around the branches and trunk.

Panel three: Close-up of the owlet lifted by the rehabber standing on a ladder in white coveralls. One hand is black-gloved, the other bare, together cradling the fluffy cargo and delivering him to his totally normal and not weird nest." class="wp-image-3585" srcset="https://owlsintowels.org/content/media/pDn9mkp-1600x1600.jpg 1600w, https://owlsintowels.org/content/media/pDn9mkp-600x600.jpg 600w, https://owlsintowels.org/content/media/pDn9mkp-150x150.jpg 150w, https://owlsintowels.org/content/media/pDn9mkp-768x768.jpg 768w, https://owlsintowels.org/content/media/pDn9mkp-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://owlsintowels.org/content/media/pDn9mkp.jpg 2000w" sizes="(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px" />
