The rehabilitator wears a khaki uniform, and holds the bundle of towel with their bare fingers. The owl has mostly white feathers except for a heart-shaped band around his facial disc that appears charred on the edges (no fire, it only looks that way), as well as a coat of dark ashy patterning at the top of his head which fades to a collar of speckles around his neck.

Wildlife Warriors was established in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin. Here’s what they had to say about this Barn Owl:

“We love Sundae the barn owl! 🌸 He was found on the ground after being attacked by birds, and was admitted to our #AustraliaZoo Wildlife Hospital. 🦉He suffered from soft tissue trauma in his eyes, and received specialised treatment and care by our expert vet team. Upon fully recovering, Sundae was released back for a second chance at life in the wild. How adorable is he?! 😍”

Wildlife Warriors was established in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin. Here’s what they had to say about Grace:

Grace the barking owl clearly isn’t a fan of visiting the doctor! 🦉 she was found sitting in a driveway, and was brought to us at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. The vets discovered she had a fractured wing, and she went straight into surgery. She may look grumpy, but we’re sure she’s grateful… deep down! 💚

Update 16 June 2024

Do you remember Grace the barking owl that was admitted a while back? 🦉 She’s been doing so well in her recovery, and recently had a check up with Dr Bert. Her splint is off, and she’s well on her way to heading home! 🥰 Stay tuned for her release in the coming weeks!

Final Update 24 June 2024

Grace the barking owl has had her final check up from Dr Bert, and she’s ready to head back home to the bush! 🌳💚 Saving these animals and getting home is our mission. Each and every life is important. 🦉

Wildlife Warriors was established in 2002 by Steve and Terri Irwin. Here’s what they had to say about Winnie the Boobook:

Winnie the orphaned boobook owl was found without a nest or her parents nearby. Thankfully, this cutie doesn’t have any injuries upon being checked out by our expert vet team, and is thriving with her specialised wildlife carer. 🥰 When she’s old enough, Winnie will be released into the wild. 🌸
