This is the smallest nocturnal bird of prey in our country, and has the characteristic of having two “tufts” on its head that resemble ears 🥰

It is a species that is not very common in Portugal, and, being a summer bird, it is mainly observed between March and September ☀

The first bird chick to reach us this year was this little Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) 🦉

Weighing just over 300g, he doesn’t know how to eat alone, much less fly. Now, a month later, the scenario is different: he is already flying, eating and even hunting mice 💪💪
